Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) - Core Cloud Services & Concepts

A web-based tool that helps estimate the cost of Azure products and services. You can select the services you plan to use, configure them, and see an estimated monthly cost.

Provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. Users manage operating systems, applications, and data, while the cloud provider manages the underlying infrastructure (servers, networking, virtualization). Example: Azure Virtual Machines.

Provides a complete development and deployment environment in the cloud. Users manage applications and data, while the cloud provider manages OS, runtime, and underlying infrastructure. Example: Azure App Service.

A method of delivering software applications over the internet, on demand and typically on a subscription basis. Users simply use the software; they don't manage any infrastructure. Example: Microsoft 365, Salesforce.

CapEx involves upfront spending on physical infrastructure that depreciates over time. OpEx involves spending on services or products as you use them, with no upfront cost, allowing for pay-as-you-go models. Cloud computing primarily uses OpEx.
